Rendezvous at 11:00 to the left hand side of the main entrance of Howth Yacht Club at the green fence gate closest to the Lifeboat Station, Middle Pier, Howth Harbour, Howth, Dublin. D13 E6V3

After our briefing we cruise at a leisurely pace to discover Howth Harbour,  Howth Castle & Deer Park

On back lanes and shortcuts that only locals know, we explore the unknown and quiet sunny side of Howth Peninsula to Strand Road and the Sutton Martello Tower, overlooking the UN Biosphere of Dublin Bay. 

Before you know it and with hardly any effort we will be at the top of Howth Head with panoramic views North, South, East and West 

On little known trails across the heath lands we find Baily Green and the epic cliff paths, to views over the Baily Lighthouse and beyond. Our local insight brings these classic locations to life, weaving history, nature, legends and tales with modern times 

Freewheel back down to Howth Harbour, where our guests can use their new found local knowledge to truly make themselves at home with memories of an Irish day that will last forever.

Tips 

General fitness required and a good sense of balance

Sturdy shoes are recommended.  Keep an eye on the weather and think about a waterproof, warm jacket, clothes and gloves for cooler weather.  Water and a snack also a good idea. 

We will provide, helmets, bikes and tourtalk system for the tour

Get the 31 or 31A bus from Talbot Street in Dublin City Centre, sit upstairs up front on the right hand side and treat yourself to a coastal tour as you make your way out to Howth. 

The Dart train is also excellent with free wifi. We are only 25 minutes from the city centre.

If you really want to join a bike tour a certain time and a particular day, then we highly recommend that you book your Howth Tours in advance as the tours often get sold out.

Yes we do accept walk-ins for the tours as long as they are not already fully booked. We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of our tours and that you are flexible in case they already sold out.

The meeting-point is located at Lifeboat Station, on the Middle Pier, Howth Harbour, Howth, Dublin. D13 E6V3. It’s a 5 minute walk away from Howth DART Train Station. We recommend using google maps to plan your route.

It’s Ireland!..…Dress for the weather we do the bike tours in the rain or shine.

Easy, our bike tours are taken at a leisurely pace and suitable for all age groups.

Yes, Howth is bicycle friendly with cycle paths and use of bus lanes. As with most physical activities there is a risk involved. Our number one priority is safety of our customers. Prior to cycling tour we will on safety and bicycle overview. All cyclists are supplied with safety helmets and reflective belts. If we feel that a cyclist is unsuitable for this tour we reserve the right to refuse participation.

Please note that the minimum age for the public tours is 16 - 65 years old and weight restriction of 105 kilograms.
